Dr William Chan
Dr. William Chan is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne and Adjunct Lecturer at Monash University. He is a consultant and interventional cardiologist as well as a clinician-investigator. His public appointments are based at the Alfred, Western and Sunshine Hospitals, where he works as a consultant cardiologist with close affiliation to the BakerIDI Heart and Diabetes Institute. He has held the prestigious NHMRC Early Career Fellowship enabling him to conduct clinical research in cardiology. He is actively involved in clinical research and supervises research and PhD fellows, A/Prof Chan believes in communicating clearly and working closely with treating GPs, specialists, and patients to ensure the best treatment outcome for any individual patient. In addition to his public service commitments, he also consults and admits patients privately at the Epworth Hospital in Richmond and Western Private Hospital in Footscray.
Dr Brian Zakhem
Dr Brian Zakhem’s qualifications include Bachelor of Science, Monash University followed by an MBBS at Monash University. Dr Zakhem has completed his FRACP in Clinical and General Cardiology at Western Hospital, Footscray, and most recently, completed his Masters degree and Interventional Fellowship from Hospital Clinico San Carlos in Madrid, Spain.
Dr Thai Quach
Dr Quach is a consultant gastroenterologist at Western Private Hospital and a visiting senior staff specialist in the Department of Gastroenterology at Western Public Hospital. He graduated from Melbourne University in 1997 and is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians after completing his gastroenterology training in 2006.
He has been providing gastroenterology services to the western suburbs since 2006. He has a special interest in bowel cancer screening and prevention with high focus on polyp detection and resection.
