I have been in practice as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon for 20 years. Over the years of practicing in orthopaedics I have developed a special interest in shoulder, hip and knee surgery.
I graduated from the University of Melbourne and then entered the Victorian Orthopaedic Training Program successfully completing this and joining the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
Following that training I travelled to England, initially studying at The Newmarket Hospital with Mr David Dandy, Mr Chris Constant in the areas of reconstructive surgery to the shoulder and knee. I then studied at The University of Oxford, obtaining a Masters Degree in the Biomechanics of the knee. My clinical work at The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University focused in hip and knee replacement.
Following my time at Oxford University I spent 6 months at The Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital in Toronto Canada training in arthroscopy and reconstructive knee surgery.
My private practice is now confined to the areas of shoulder, hip and knee surgery. On these joints I undertake a complete range of arthroscopic, reconstructive and joint replacement procedures. In addition, I continue treating acute trauma and post-traumatic problems.
